I will look tomorrow since we received our paper copies of the approaches at work today. Foreflight won't let me look into the future with the pubs or I would do it that way. Lindbergh, Just checked the Eagle County airport website, and it appears to be an SA approach only available to approved operators.
Much like the straight-in localizer at ASE, I doubt you'll find a public plate. Looks like all of EGE is scheduled for updated procedures in That I didn't know I wonder if the Orbx version will include this? Doesn't really matter the GTN should have it. Thanks for the info, I'd be interested to see if the new approach data has the ILS listed after going into service. My only question is whether the ILS is going back into service, or going into service for the 1st time. Hm, interesting.
It's definitely mentioned in the documentation you linked to, but vaguely. I just don't understand why they'd be so coy about it. This airport has always fascinated me, and now even more so. Secret approaches only adds to mystery.
I have no idea what to make of this info, or even what the source of it was since there are no charts available. It's listed in the charts as 3. The ILS is also listed as having a 3. It would be simple to correct the ILS if the charts were available, but without them it becomes a guessing game. He said that because of the steep glidepath, it is not allowed to be fully automated.

A flight control system is fail-operational if, in the event of a failure below alert height AHthe approach, flare and landing, can be completed automatically. In the event of a failure, the automatic landing system will operate as a fail-passive system. A flight control system is fail-passive if, in the event of a failure, there is no significant out-of-trim condition or deviation of flight path or attitude but the landing is not completed automatically.

As for the Alert Height AH it is defined as: An Alert Height is a height above the runway, based on the characteristics of the aeroplane and its fail-operational automatic landing system, above which a Category III approach would be discontinued and a missed approach initiated if a failure occurred in one of the redundant parts of the automatic landing system, or in the relevant ground equipment ICAO.
