The Volley library version is 1. One other solution I've tried was using okhttp library, integrated with Volley, but the issue still occurs. This is the class that actually makes the request for every method on the server. After analysing the code a little bit, I found a method call inside the constructor, as follows:.
Because the POST request had a lot of data, it takes more time to send the request and receive the response back from server. It seems that Volley didn't wait enough for the response to come and throws a TimeoutError.
So, the request was made, everything goes well on the server, but the client Android does not wait for the server and gets an error. And this is not a server problem, since on iOS it works just fine. You can find more information about this bug here, were I also deduced the solution: Android Volley double post when have slow request.

Stack Overflow for Teams is a private, secure spot for you and your coworkers to find and share information. Our clients are starting to see s of these "SSLException error - Connection reset by peer" over the last couple of weeks and I can't figure out why. The above client provider is a singleton. The RestAdapter is built using this injected client we use dagger. The server returns "Connection: close" in its header but the client request sends "Connection: keepAlive".
Our servers have moved to another hosting provider recently in another geography so I don't know if these are DNS failures or not. We've tried tweaking things like keepAlive, reconfigured OpenSSL on the server but for some reason the Android client keeps getting this error. It happens immediately without any delay when you try to use the app to post something or pull to refresh it doesn't even go to network or have a delay before this exception happens which would imply the connection is already broken.
But trying it multiple times somehow "fixes it" and we get a success. It happens again later. We've invalidated our DNS entries on the server to see if this what caused it but that hasn't helped. I don't want to disable keep alive because most modern clients don't do that. Also we're using OkHttp 2. Recently I faced the issue while working on some legacy code.
After googling I found that the issue is everywhere but without any concrete resolution. I worked on various parts of the exception message and analyzed below. Understanding the issue, I try finding the reason behind the connection reset and I came up with below reasons:. Scan your domain on this sslTesturland see if the connection is allowed for your device version.
Builder class. Another possible cause for this error message is if the HTTP Method is blocked by the server or load balancer. We ran into this because HEAD was being blocked by the load balancer but, oddly, not all of the load balanced servers, which caused it to fail only some of the time.

Without it they don't. You can try it out yourself by using an emulator with Android 4. If we then disable TLS v1. SSLHandshakeException: javax. It sounds like you have a generic Android issue in which case this is unfortunately not the right issue tracker to use. This is an issue tracker for the Volley library. We are using Volley although the sample code doesn't use it. As you have mentioned this is not directly a Volley issue, but we have recommended to report the issue here. I would like to know if there is a support can be provided by Volley or maybe there is already a workaround written by the team in order to test Volley on devices running Android OS 4.Artesano (1) odds Analysis GREAT LANE comes back to race at a country level, genuine contender.
